Kegelapan depicts modern civilisation in a state of crisis. The artwork tells the story of human greed and thirst for power that has shaped society today. However, Mr Nuswantoro believes that one can still remain true to humanitarian values to foster peace and harmony.

Artist’s Bio

Mr Nuswantoro graduated from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Yogyakarta in 1986 and University of Merdeka Malang, Indonesia, in 1993. He has held solo exhibitions in Surabaya, Yogyakartaand Jakarta. He has also participated in group exhibitions such as Beauty of Waisak and Biennale 1^st Terracotta.
